EFB App Compatibility Guide
Key Features
What is an EFB?
An Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) is a digital application that replaces paper charts, approach plates, and flight planning materials. Modern EFB apps run on tablets and smartphones, providing moving map navigation, weather overlays, and-when connected to a Stratux-real-time traffic display.
Popular EFB apps include SkyDemon (Europe), ForeFlight (worldwide), EasyVFR (Europe), Avare (open-source), FlyQ, and iFly GPS. All these apps support the GDL90 protocol, which is the standard data format Stratux uses to broadcast traffic and GPS information.

How to Connect
Power on your Stratux device and wait for the blue LED to indicate WiFi is active
Open your tablet/phone WiFi settings and connect to the 'stratux' network
Open your EFB app-most will auto-detect Stratux and start receiving data
If traffic doesn't appear, check your app's settings for 'external traffic source' or 'GDL90' options
Internet Note: While connected to Stratux WiFi, your device won't have internet access. Some EFB apps (like SkyDemon) can be configured to use cellular data for weather while receiving traffic over WiFi.
Troubleshooting
No traffic showing
Ensure WiFi is connected to 'stratux' network. Check that GDL90/external traffic is enabled in your app. Visit 192.168.10.1 to verify Stratux is receiving traffic.
GPS position not updating
Some apps use internal GPS by default. Check settings to enable 'external GPS' or 'Stratux GPS'. Ensure GPS module has clear sky view.
AHRS not working
Enable AHRS in your EFB app settings. Ensure Stratux is mounted level on the glareshield. Some apps require a synthetic vision subscription.
WiFi keeps disconnecting
Disable 'auto-join' for other networks. Some devices prioritize internet-connected networks-disable this in WiFi settings. Ensure Stratux has adequate power.
