Stratux Europe Edition 1.6r1-eu029-hotfix has been released. This is a hotfix release for OGN related protocol changes.
Who Should Update?
Anyone using OGN reception via an SDR (i.e. has the "868 Mhz (OGN, ADS-L)" option enabled) is strongly advised to apply this patch.
What Changed?
The Open Glider Network (OGN) made protocol changes that affected how Stratux receives and processes OGN traffic data. Without this hotfix, your Stratux device may not properly receive traffic information from OGN-equipped aircraft.
How to Update
This is an OTA (Over-The-Air) update, so you don't need to re-flash your SD card:
1. Connect to your Stratux WiFi network
2. Open the Stratux web interface at http://192.168.10.1
3. Navigate to the Settings page
4. Look for the Update section
5. Apply the eu029-hotfix update file
Download
The update file can be downloaded from the official Stratux Europe repository on GitHub.
Important Notes
- This hotfix is specifically for the OGN protocol changes
- If you don't use OGN/868MHz reception, you can skip this update
- The hotfix is compatible with both EU and US firmware versions
- Make sure to backup your settings before updating
Verification
After updating, verify that:
- Your Stratux shows the correct firmware version (1.6r1-eu029-hotfix)
- OGN traffic is being received properly (check the Traffic page)
- All other functions work as expected
Keep flying safe!
